This is Tressy's rare compact which completes her hard to find outfit #25905 Rainy Days.
You can see her holding it in her hand in the mod fashion Tressy and Cricket fashion booklet.
The compact is black plastic with no marks except for the gold cloud swirls in the center with a leaf design all around the middle on the top.
The compact does open.It has a diameter of 1.5cm and thickest of 1/2cm.
This picture shows her seventeen magazine, another rare find for this same outfit.
Another mod outfit "#30904 Smart Set" has a very hard to find accessory
which is Tressy's cat in a basket. The cat is brown and fits into the tan basket on a tab, all which is made of plastic.
On the cover of the Tressy with the Magic Make-up face and Cricket
showed two interesting outfits that have not been named until now. Tressy is wearing #25908 Lucky Lady,
which comes with red boots,a green hair Troll, bottle of pop, and a book. Cricket's outfit is called #14205 Sweet Smartie
and can come with either a chalkboard and chalk or a radio.
Another two great sister outfits that is inside the same booklet is
#20909 Wild'N Wonderful for Tressy, that comes with a lucky Troll, chain locket and clutch bag, sis wears #14157 TV Time for Cricket
Her accessories are red shoes, and her own TV.
Another great variation I want to show is
#30901 Blue Ribbon Winner from 1965.Note the brown shift has quite a different square pattern, came with leather vest, blue ribbon,
book, and a cute wooden dog.In 1966 Blue Ribbon Winner became mod, number changed and outfit #30906 Tressy wore a black dress
with white leather jacket, white boots, bone, blue ribbon, book and the same smart dog!
In 1966 the Motgomery Wards Christmas Catalog featured two rare unnamed mod outfits for Tressy.
One was a dress that was divided down the middle vertically.
One side was red polka dots and the other was red stripes on a white background.
The dress tied in the middle with a satin ribbon. It also came with a flocked white hat and red open toe shoes.
The other mod outfit which was also shown in the 1966 Sear's Christmas catalog had
red pants with a cute cropped red and white
polka dotted shirt with stripes on the trim.
Another favorite outfit that mod Tressy had was "London Look" this adorable dress came with a unique scale again not marked white with black platform and ruler units.
Tressy's hose is also very hard to find.
Another interesting outfit I have come across, but know nothing about is this hood, jacket ,and black pants that fit Tressy,
but made of the exact fabric that her little sister, Cricket has on called "Shutterbug". Anyone have any information on this outfit, I would love to hear from you.

The all are marked on their backs with the Uneeda label and have the same body. All but one has painted eyes.
The fourth doll in the picture has sleep eyes and rooted hair, wears an original travel outfit with international flair in yellow.
They all have an unusual body with a thin plate between their hips, sometimes know as a Y shape, knees are not bendable.

This could be a recyling of the name or using leftover boxes.
FRENCH MILY BY GEGE

The French 1960's fashion doll was called Mily and existed form 1964-1972. Chic, Grace and Elegance were words used by the French doll company Gege.
Founded in 1933,it was named after the founder's first intials Germain Giroud. This upholstery fabric
business used scraps of the most select tweeds, silks, and leathers to create the most outstanding perfect scale doll clothes.Mily has a strong character face, fine lined eyebrows and thin shaped lips that almost smile at
as seen in the first picture.Hair color on the dolls range from shades of blonde to brunette being the rarest. Hair styles also were as numerous. The third picture shows a brunette in a rare plaid outfit;
called Regents Street, an early outfit made by an authentic Scottish Tartan. This limited number, store display, boxed ,dressed doll is equivalent to a #1 Barbie.
The first version example of Mily has a flip hairstyle and unbendable legs wearing her rare bathing suit in box is shown in picture four. The last version, Mily from the early seventies is mint with a great graphic colorful box.
Mily's companions were fiance Jacky and sister baby which were simply constructed. These dolls are a real treasure and truly show their place in the history of the 20th century fashions.
